About Me
My name is Denise Duffy and I joined Eaton PS at the beginning of this year and, at this stage, I will be Principal until the end of Term 3 2021. . I have previously worked as an Associate Principal at Comet Bay Primary School in Secret Harbour for 7 years and prior to that at Bluff Point Primary School in Geraldton. I am really excited to be part of such a beautiful school and community and have been welcomed in an extremely friendly manner by staff, students and the families that I have had the pleasure of already meeting. On the SDD at the beginning of the year I shared with staff the motto I live by-: “Every person matters everyday”. We need to look after each other, be kind to each other and I community will continue to thrive. I look forward to meeting you all overtime.

Communicating with Parents
Communicating with parents is a high priority for our school and staff. This is done through many forms which include;
- Informal / formal parent meetings
- Newsletter – Fortnightly overview of information. Sent out via Connect and on the Website
- School Web Page – General school information.
- School Facebook – Achievements, highlights and promotion of events.
- Connect Community
- Teacher emails / Class Seesaw and Class Connect– Class information, reminders, student work samples.
For further information about accessing any of these forms of communication, please contact your teacher or the front office.
Department of Education Online Services
Eaton Primary School provides students with access to the Department of Education’s online services. These enhance the contemporary learning opportunities available to the students at our school and the range of teaching tools available to staff to deliver the Western Australian Curriculum.
In 2021, we are required by the Department of Education to seek approval for your child/children to be given access to these online services as well as any applications used on devices within our school. The Department’s online services currently provide students with access to:
• individual email and calendar accounts
• the internet, with all reasonable care taken by central office and schools to monitor and control students’ access to websites while at school
• online teaching and learning services such as Connect, web-conferencing and digital resources
• online file storage and sharing services
Please keep your eye out early next week for the online permission form that will be available through Connect. This must be completed in order for your child to be able to use the online services within the school.
